How to reset network settings on Windows 11
Network Reset is useful when the Windows network stack is genuinely broken, but it is a broad fix and should not be the first troubleshooting step.

WINDOWS NETWORK RESET
Try targeted checks before wiping the Windows network configuration.
A full reset can reinstall adapters and remove custom networking settings. First test the cable or Wi-Fi, restart the adapter and router, and identify whether the problem affects every app.
Try Disable / Enable first
Temporarily disabling and re-enabling the affected adapter can recover a stuck interface without removing saved networking configuration.
Restart before resetting
A clean Windows restart and router restart solve many temporary network-state problems with far less disruption.
Use Network Reset as a later step
In Windows 11, Network Reset removes and reinstalls network adapters and returns related settings toward defaults.
Expect custom settings to change
Static IP addresses, custom DNS, virtual adapters, VPN clients or advanced adapter settings may need to be configured again.
Rejoin Wi-Fi afterwards
Be prepared to reconnect to wireless networks and verify any VPN or virtual networking software after the reset.
Retest the original symptom
Do not stop at 'internet works'. Re-run the exact game, download or latency test that was failing to confirm the issue is actually fixed.
