How to fix NAT type problems on PC
NAT problems affect incoming connectivity and peer-to-peer sessions more than raw internet speed. A fast speed test can still coexist with Strict NAT.

Identify double NAT or carrier NAT before changing firewall rules.
Start by checking whether your router receives a public WAN address and whether another router sits upstream. Port forwarding cannot fully solve every CGNAT setup.
Check for double NAT
Using an ISP router plus your own router can create two layers of NAT. Bridge or access-point modes may simplify the path when appropriate.
Understand CGNAT
Some providers share public IPv4 addresses between customers. In that case traditional inbound port forwarding may not work unless the ISP offers a public address.
Try UPnP before manual ports
For home gaming networks, working UPnP can dynamically map the ports an application requests without permanently forwarding broad ranges.
Avoid DMZ as a default fix
Putting a PC in a router DMZ exposes it more broadly and is not a good first response to a NAT label.
Check Windows Firewall per app
Make sure the affected game or launcher is allowed on the correct network profile rather than disabling the firewall entirely.
NAT does not explain every lag spike
Strict NAT may affect matchmaking or peer connectivity, but high ping and packet loss need their own diagnosis.
