Test your ping and latency.
A fast connection can still feel slow when latency or jitter is high.

Ping measures responsiveness, not bandwidth.
Lower latency usually means a more responsive connection. Jitter shows how much that latency changes from one measurement to the next, which matters for gaming, voice calls and other real-time traffic.
What is a good ping?
Lower is generally better. Gaming and other real-time apps benefit most from consistently low latency rather than a high headline download speed.
What causes high ping?
Wi-Fi interference, busy networks, VPNs, long routing paths and congestion can all raise latency even when download speed looks healthy.
Ping vs jitter
Ping is the delay of a request. Jitter is how much that delay changes. A stable 30 ms connection often feels better than one jumping between 10 and 100 ms.
